The formal application was filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office by Telarus patent attorney Philip Marsh, Esq. of Cooley Godward LLP.

According to Patrick Oborn, Chief Technical Officer of Telarus, Inc., GeoQuote technology enables the general public to dynamically view T1 pricing and availability for their exact location in real-time. To determine a T1 price, GeoQuote utilizes revolutionary geomapping and database standardization techniques to calculate the exact distance from a user's location to the location of the nearest T1 vendor's POP, or Point of Presence. GeoQuote has a resolution of one one-hundredth of a mile and an error rate of less than 2%.
